Fall 2020 - What’s Next?
The dog days of summer are now behind us here in Cleveland and everyone is quite frankly, ready for sweater weather.
Useless Fact: that saying comes from Sirius the Dog Star rising and falling with the sun during summer months. The star is so enormous early astronomers believed it kicked up the suns rays into turbo mode. Some days we agree.
Market Analysis
•Sellers Market•
Low inventory, coupled with lower interest rates have given sellers the massive edge no one saw coming. As a whole the general thinking was a slow down, economists project big purchases come to a trickle when we & more importantly investors face uncertain times. We maybe twiddled our thumbs for -3- days or so waiting to see what was unfolding and then like a rocket everything was flying. Real estate was deemed essential, and the world was locked in their homes with nothing but time to scroll Zillow and get things -market ready- We’ve cooled just slightly from the chaos of Spring (this is good) and hopefully will even out by Spring Market 2021.
T R E N D I N G
Trending Up - all flat matte white interiors / walls coupled with colorful accents and furniture. Wallpaper. Gold. Less open concept, more traditional layouts. Jewel tones.
Trending Peak - Gray & White galore, galvanized steel. Also known as the “Chip & Joanna” effect. Wide open concepts.
Trend Prediction - We tend to be a few years behind California & Europe, I think the next wave is a swing back to *GASP* ....earth tones. This upcoming wave of owners loves nature /are plant obsessed. I think we will see that pallet reflected more. Let’s hope the plastic ivy and brass stay where we left them though!
Autumn
